Leading With Heart: Empathy, Ethics & Excellence
The Women in Leadership Symposium is a dedicated event that brings together accomplished women leaders, aspiring leaders, and advocates for gender diversity in various industries. The primary objectives of the symposium are to inspire, educate, and empower women to thrive in leadership roles and to promote gender equity and inclusivity in the workplace. This year's symposium theme is, Leading with Heart: Empathy, Ethics & Excellence," which celebrates and explores the importance of compassion, ethics, and excellence in leadership, particularly as they relate to women leaders. Attendees will gain valuable insights, advice, and connections, making the Women in Leadership Symposium an essential platform for advancing women's representation and influence in leadership positions.
Dr. Sandra J. Guerra is a distinguished HR leader, executive coach, and educator with over 18 years of progressive experience. With a strong leadership history, Sandra has excelled in diverse industries and has taken root in the exciting Energy sector. As Head of HR for North America at Siemens Energy and Siemens Gamesa, she implements HR strategy and people initiatives, supporting her organization in leading the energy transition. She is an integral part in the facilitation of large strategic initiatives and implementing HR practices that create a keen awareness and focus for engaging the workforce and driving the people agenda with a focus on driving diversity and inclusion as well as mental wellness in the workplace. Sandra leads the North American HR team with a focus on advancing the HR profession while advancing the business. Sandra holds a Ph.D. in Industrial-Organizational Psychology from Capella University, an MBA in Management from Western International University, and a BS in Health Care Management from Southern Illinois University Carbondale. Certified with SHRM (SCP) HRCI (SPHR), and the NACC (BCC) she demonstrates a commitment to excellence and lifelong learning. Beyond corporate roles, Sandra served as adjunct faculty at Everglades and Webster University, contributing expertise in HR management and organizational change. A US Army Reserves veteran, she coaches transitioning soldiers into civilian life, volunteers to develop HR strategies for non-profits, and has held multiple board positions with the Greater Orlando Society for Human Resource Management.
Omayra Mansfield, MD, MHA, FACEP is the Chief Medical Officer at AdventHealth Apopka and former Chief of Staff at AdventHealth Celebration. She is board-certified by the American Board of Emergency Medicine and is a Fellow of the American College of Emergency Physicians. Dr. Mansfield completed her medical degree and master’s in healthcare administration at the University of Florida and her emergency medicine residency at Carolinas Medical Center in North Carolina. Prior to working as an emergency medicine physician, Dr. Mansfield spent several years in healthcare administration and has held several leadership roles in various departments throughout her over two-decade career in healthcare, in areas including medical staff, faculty group practice, emergency department, and finance. She has been honored with the ACHE Innovation Award, Resident Research Award, SAEM Excellence in Emergency Medicine Award, and AMA Medical Student Leadership Award, among others. Omayra is also recognized as one of the Top 100 Thought Leaders Influencing Trusted Business Behavior by Trust across America/Trust around the World. She is co-author of The Trust Transformation, an evidence-based training program and book; both of which teach people how to improve results by improving relationships through a more intentional focus on earning, building, and restoring trust. She also served as a principal investigator on research studies at AdventHealth to explore the impact and outcomes of a more intentional focus on trust in relationships. Dr. Mansfield lives in Orlando with her husband and their daughter Elizabeth and son Alexander, where the family enjoys staying active doing CrossFit and running.
KEYSA MINNIFIELD turns vision and mission into reality through sound strategy development and collaborative execution. She has a proven aptitude for developing and executing strategic programs consistently focused on cutting-edge people strategies and business insights. She has demonstrated success as an inclusive strategic leader with the proven ability to engineer highly productive organizational structures, develop talent and build diverse teams. Currently, a senior human resources executive at Compass Group, she has held senior roles in operations, communications, diversity, and labor relations. Keysa has been highly successful designing and leading large and small teams with a focus on diversity, inclusion, and equity. She has led major initiatives such as organizational redesigns for Supply, IS&T, Safety and Facilities Management. She holds an MBA and Master of Human Resources from Webster University, senior certification in human resources and an Executive Leadership Certificate from Cornell University.
Laura Williamson is Senior Vice President of Finance for Olive Garden and an Officer of the parent company, Darden Restaurants, Inc. In this role, she is responsible for overall financial planning and analysis, operations analysis and control, marketing analysis, and capital development review for a brand with more than 890 restaurants. Laura began her career with Darden in 1997 as Supervisor of Sales Cash. Since then, she has held many positions of increasing responsibility in various areas of Accounting, Brand Finance and Enterprise Finance. Her experience includes eight years with Red Lobster at the Analyst, Sr. Analyst, Manager and Director levels, roles supporting Darden Restaurants as Director of Finance and Strategy, Director of Corporate Analysis and as Senior Director of Finance for Olive Garden. Most recently, Laura served as Senior Vice President, Finance for LongHorn Steakhouse. Laura holds a bachelor’s degree from Florida State University. She is also a Certified Public Accountant Olive Garden is part of the Darden family of restaurants. Darden owns and operates more than 1,850 Olive Garden, LongHorn Steakhouse, Cheddar’s Scratch Kitchen, Yard House, The Capital Grille, Seasons 52, Bahama Breeze and Eddie V’s restaurants in North America.
Kristen Stone has many years of experience in Talent Acquisition and Diversity & Inclusion. In her current role, Kristen leads a Talent Acquisition team in shaping organizational development and hiring top talent across the Southeast for a Fortune 500 company. She is also a long-standing member of the Orlando Chapter Advisory Board for the Florida Diversity Council and Vice Chair for the Board of Directors of the Mustard Seed of Central Florida. Kristen was born and raised in Central Florida. She began her career in Human Resources, with a focus on Talent Management and Organizational Development, while working in the field of Education. Kristen managed a local branch of a tutoring company for many years before she accepted a role in Human Resources leadership with Florida Virtual School. From there, she transitioned to working in the waste and recycling industry in 2015 with Republic Services, a garbage and recycling company that is known as one of Forbes Most Innovative Companies and Ethisphere World’s Most Ethical Companies. Kristen has a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Central Florida, as well as a Master of Science in Psychology from the University of Florida. She also holds certification as a Black Belt in Recruitment and a Black Belt in Diversity & Inclusion through the Social Talent Network. Kristen is an amateur artist, a foodie, and an avid at-home chef who loves to entertain family and friends. She lives in Winter Park with her husband Justin, Humanities and Philosophy Professor at Valencia College, their precocious daughter Reagan, and their rambunctious pets Steve and Finnley.
Shawn Burnett is Vice President of Legal Services for Holiday Inn Club Vacations. Shawn Joining the company in 2017, Shawn is responsible for licensing, privacy, telemarketing and advertising law for the organization. Shawn is also Chair of the company’s Diversity Council. Prior to working for Holiday Inn Club Vacations, Shawn spent 12 years in the public sector, most recently as Deputy General Counsel for City Colleges of Chicago, the third largest community college district in the United States. Shawn attended the University of Oregon, where she received a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics and Juris Doctorate degree.
